With
such an an increasing number of battlefield tour companies operating
today it is worth reminding prospective customers that they should be
very careful before booking with any company that advertises flights as
part of their package. Legally, it is AGAINST THE LAW for any company to
include flights as part of its package holiday WITHOUT first obtaining
an ATOL licence from the Civil Aviation Authority. Not only is is
illegal but it is very dangerous for the customer as their money is not
protected. Some continue to act in ignorance of the law, claiming to
operate the old and out-dated Trust Account system. Many newly-formed
companies seem to think it's simply a case of booking flights, ferries,
trains, or whatever, and off they go. Well, it isn't. There are laws
governing these things. So, beware before booking with companies which
advertise flights but which which do not hold the licence. All tours in
this brochure are ATOL protected since IFBT holds an Air Travel
Organiser’s Licence granted by the Civil Aviation Authority. Thus, in
the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure you are not
stranded and abroad will arrange to refund any money you have paid.
