This
tour is very different to the usual coach-based tour to
the Crimea. Like our popular walking tours to the
Peninsula and Waterloo, this walking-based tour gets you
to the very heart of the action, taking guests across the
famous battlefields of the Crimean War. We walk the length
of the Alma battlefield, viewing it from Russian and
Allied perspectives, we examine in depth the Inkerman
battlefield, explore the defensive lines, and walk the
site of the British siege lines. Balaklava is explored at
length by walking the entire length of the Charge of the
Light Brigade, whilst the great battle of the Chernaya is
not forgotten. It isn't all walking, however, for we visit
the world famous Panorama, the museum of the Black Sea
Fleet, and St Vladimir's Cathedral. We also enjoy boat
trips round Sevastopol harbour and Balaklava and the Black
Sea. A superb tour.
